Like Father Like Son

Well, for those of you that did not already know Nate has a thing for guns right now. Last year he went out and bought a handgun without telling me and this year we negotiated and he purchased a rifle. It was a Nerf gun Christmas, and we now own at least 5 Nerf guns. So Carter is following right along in his father's footsteps.
Oh, and a shout out must go to Granny for the wonderful Trio blocks that Carter got for his birthday. He plays with them everyday and loves building trains, airplanes, and houses with them. This specimen is of course built by the older child in the household and the boys both had a grand time pretending to play deer hunter. How Kentucky we are!

Snowman take two!

Here is the second snowman attempt. Quite a bit larger and much warmer out when they built it. Notice the snow is actually starting to melt-yeah! He won't be around too long but Nate and Carter had a great time building him. Carter tells me everytime we go outside that he doesn't want the snow to go away. For some reason I don't really agree.

Let it Snow!

We have had a record breaking snowfall here in Kentucky for the last couple of weeks. In the month of February we have already gotten 24" and we still have almost two weeks left. Crazy! I've never seen this much snow here before. Of course none of it has melted so we really do have two feet of snow all over the place. Carter has enjoyed playing in the snow but Nate has not been as thrilled about having to dig both of our cars out so many times now. Hopefully we won't have too much more. We have had our fair share for the next couple years I think.

Carter Turns 3!

We had a birthday party for Carter. We had a great time and he got lots of new fun toys. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if Carter hadn't been sick. Oh, and we are potty training too.

The Cake

This was Carter's fun "Dragon" cake. I know it is an alligator, but he thought it was a dragon and of course we went with that. It was fun and easy to assemble and I think it turned out adorable.
