Airplanes

Carter's new favorite thing is airplanes. He yells airplane and points up whenever he hears one, whether indoors or outdoors. Since we live quite near an airport we can hear several planes a day. Granted he sometimes mistakes a loud motorcycle or something else, but more often then not, he is right. He definitely notices them way more than I ever would. So who knows maybe he will follow in his grandpa's footsteps and take to the sky someday.

A Bengals Tribute

Nate is getting Carter prepared for the Football Season. For all of you who are not football fans (aka my family) Who-Dey is sort of a cheer for the Bengals. You know, "Who-Dey, Who-Dey, Who-Dey think gonna beat them Bengals". Nate is determined to have him saying it well by August.

Museum Pics

We have passes to our museum center. It is a great place for kids. They have a whole section just for kids and then a couple others too. Carter loves it there. We go a couple times a month and so I thought I would post some pictures from the museum.

Random Fun

Here are just some random pictures of the last month or so. He sure loves that red wagon. He would spend all day in it if I let him. Too bad we live on an enormous hill. I'm not always thrilled to trudge up it.

Our new Car

We sold our little Audi a couple of weeks ago and we finally got a replacement. It is a 2003 Honda Accord--and I am lovin' it!!! Then again, I haven't driven a car with air conditioning for a few months now, so that simple luxury excited me. Plus, it has black leather interior, remote entry, radio controls on steering wheel, 6 CD-disc changer, and dual air-conditioning control. It is so nice to have a newer car. We just hope it will be reliable. We feel like one of our 4 cars is always broken down this past year. We hope to narrow it down to two reliable ones here in the near future.

Mother's Day

I had a really nice mother's day. I woke up to presents and a baloon picked out by Carter of course. Nice Christmas wrapping, huh. It was a great day!

Fun at the Park

Monday Nate and I took Carter to the park. The idea was to go on a walk on some of the trails but Carter had spied the playground and had his own agenda. He threw such a fit when we tried to go walking that we decided we might as well let him play. It was lots of fun--especially with his daddy there. I just can't wait until he is old enough that I do not have to constantly follow him around so he doesn't jump/fall off anything. He seems to be fearless (totally unaware of the danger). But we had a great time.
